Guillermo is the Director of the Instituto de Estudios Avanzados de Montevideo. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University and has taught extensively throughout the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. His forthcoming book with an Argentine press looks at Mexico through an entheogenic lens, tracing the various complexities associated with consciousness and psychoactive pharmacology in Mexico from 1936-1963.

Jason is the Assistant Director of the Instituto de Estudios Avanzados de Montevideo. He is completing a Ph.D. in the Department of Comparative Literature at UCLA where he works across a number of field formations including world literature, translation studies, health humanities, pedagogy, and artificial intelligence.
